Wealth Management Services (WMS): Wealth Management Services is a strategic partner to businesses in Wealth Management, WIM and across the enterprise. We help achieve business objectives by combining delivery and support, client management, business enhancement, team member support and risk management services. The mission of the WMS Analytics & Business Intelligence Team is to leverage business, data and analytics expertise to deliver accurate, relevant, fact based information to drive better business decisions. This* Analytic Consultant 3* position is responsible for R3 business-as-usual activities, a vital client segmentation support function. Responsibilities include collaborating with business partners to identify and define business requirements, translate business needs into complex analysis designs, and support on-going client and account transitions. Identifies and recommends internal and external data sources, compiles/mines data from multiple, cross business sources; recommends and participates in the development of complex analysis designs using statistical and/or financial analysis, predictive modeling, process documentation, comparative analysis, customer/demographic analysis, etc.; interprets results and recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency/quality, etc. Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources. To a certain degree, may assist indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization. May manage project teams and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to: create complex SQL code packages to extract data from enterprise data warehouses such as but not limited to Wealth Data Mart, Master Operational Data Environment and Wealth Analytics Environment; compare data across multiple platforms to interpreted business requirements to identify error conditions or new requirements; produce summary and detail reports for operational teams to monitor performance; maintain data processing routines to ensure service level agreement adherence; fulfill data research requests as needed; liaison between business and technology to translate business rules into technical requirements for application development; contribute to Metadata documentation such as business definitions and data lineage.

The preferred location for this position is in Charlotte, NC but other locations will be considered.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both

  • 5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Wealth management experience
