Novant Health Administrative Fellow in Charlotte, North Carolina

Overview

Provides support to the administrative team via completion of projects in assigned areas and active participation in meetings. The administrative fellow will make significant contributions to administrative work throughout the system. These contributions range from project and task force work to role assignments. Gains practical experience through direct exposure to and active participation in a variety of administrative activities in preparation for leadership opportunities within Novant Health. Activities include exposure to healthcare operations and corporate administration via completion of four to eight rotations in areas such as finance, information technology, human resources, systems and procedures, research, and operations. Administrative Fellows receive exposure to the full continuum of hospitals and services [community, specialty, and tertiary], medical groups, ambulatory care network, and community services. Duration of experience will be one year.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Completed MHA, MBA or equivalent from an accredited graduate program or MHA Student who has completed 2 years of didactic coursework towards completion of a MHA degree pending a 1 year fellowship requirement.

  • Experience: Minimum one year experience as administrative intern, resident or fellow, required.

  • Additional Skills (required): Demonstrates a working knowledge of healthcare delivery and practice. Strong analytical, project management and presentation skills. Communicates effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Flexible and able to respond to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
