Equitable Audit Services

With this internship, individuals will obtain a comprehensive view across the company and assist in meeting Company objectives spanning various subject matters.

Equitable Audit Services (EAS) provides independent and objective assurance and advisory consulting services through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, EAS assists management by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach in evaluating and improving the Company’s risk management, control, and governance processes.

The intern’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in audit activities including discussions and inquiries to our business partners, identification and understanding of risk and controls, development and completion of testing, and the communication of results.

  • Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing including updates to process documentation, completion of testing, and communication of results.

  • Assist in process improvement initiatives in the Department.

Internship Details

Dates: June 2025 to August 2025

Location: Charlotte, NC or Syracuse, NY

Work Environment: Hybrid / Flexible (required to be in the office 3 days/week)

Hourly Rate: $22/hour

Housing: Intern housing available

Qualifications

  • Rising senior working towards four-year undergraduate degree or graduate student

  • Course work in Accounting, Analytics, Technology, or other Business-related areas

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to work the full duration of the program

Competencies and Skills

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Self-Directed Growth and Development: Understanding of the necessity of continuous personal growth; ability to gauge one's strengths, limitations and interests, and use of this knowledge for purposes of performance effectiveness and self-development. Employees should not rely completely on the manager for their growth. You as an individual should be using the skill of self-directed growth and develop to help you achieve the professional goals you have as an individual.
