Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company’s financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company’s shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.

Business Finance: oversees the creation of finance strategy and business support for the lines of business by directing and managing the line of business finance support functions. The Consumer Credit Card and Retail Services (CRS) Finance team (within Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation Business Finance) has an exciting opportunity for an energetic finance professional to join the team supporting the Consumer Credit Card Rewards and Core Benefits financial analysis and forecasting.

The Consumer Credit Card and Retail Services (CRS) team focuses on the growth and management of Wells Fargo's consumer credit card portfolio, including general purpose and co-brand cards. In addition, our team delivers industry-leading rewards, offers and benefits that recognize and celebrate our customers' relationship with Wells Fargo and keep us focused on earning and re-earning more of their business. We also continue to explore innovative new solutions for helping consumers accomplish their financial goals. All of this is enabled by our strong teams in loan operations, project and systems delivery, customer excellence, strategy, analytics and our partners in risk, marketing and finance.

As a member of the CRS finance team, the Advance Financial Analytics Consultant will be responsible for financial modeling, analysis and reporting of rewards liability and contra revenue components. The ideal candidate will have experience executing highly-complex driver based finance and/or analytical models, with capability to manage deadlines and proven ability to thrive in cross functional teams. This position will work closely with partners in Enterprise Finance Revenue Forecasting COE, Controllers, Model Risk Governance, Credit Card and Loyalty Solution business team to ensure new business strategies are backed by sound financial analysis, and rewards liabilities are accrued in accordance to the governance rigor.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Maintain and improve driver based rewards contra revenue and rewards liability model in coordination with business lines and product partners

• Track, monitor and update driver/volume assumptions for all aspects of rewards activities

• Partner with Enterprise Finance Revenue Forecasting COE to complete quarterly 9-quarter rolling forecast quarterly and support CCAR as needed

• Support month-end close activities relates to rewards valuation accrual

• Perform business case analysis to support growth related to credit card rewards and core benefits projects

• Transform large complex data into easy to understand reports

• Anticipation of issues based on knowledge of business trends and proposal of direction and solutions

• Serve as the Finance subject matter expert (SME) for credit card rewards and add-on product remediation as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting; or a BS/BA or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics or Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting

  • 2+ years of financial analysis experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting and analyzing interest income and balance sheet behavior

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques

  • Essbase and/or SmartView experience

  • SQL or SAS experience

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
