As a senior cloud engineer, you will play an integral role in architecting and building reliable, secure and cost-effective solutions in AWS.
You will continuously identify areas of improvement with existing solutions and lead the implementation of new projects.
Will bring technical guidance and engineering best practices when it comes to building and scaling cloud native applications.
Building new technology is a messy business, so you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
MetLife Legal Plans is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, but our engineering team is remote by default, so you can work from wherever you like. The team gets together in person each year, though people who live near each other will often meet up more frequently.
Will work within our tech stack which includes: ReactJS, Django, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Git, Linux
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Solid hands on experience in architecting and designing AWS solutions for customer-facing applications
A deep understanding of a mix of the following: VPC, IAM, S3, ALB, Lambda, ECS, RDS, Elasticache,Elasticsearch, and Cloudwatch services
Strong linux system administration, containerization, security and networking skills
Experience writing terraform or other infrastructure as code scripts
Experience with building modern web applications using microservices
Python scripting experience
Experience migrating workloads from on premise to AWS
A desire to work in small, high-performing teams, participate in architectural discussions,and mentor other team members
- BA/BS and/or releavnt industry certifications
