American Tower Network System Administrator in Cary, North Carolina
We are seeking a Network System Administrator to join American Tower’s U.S. Tower division’s Network Engineering team. The team designs and delivers neutral host network solutions. Day to day you will monitor vital internal systems, protect critical information, systems, and assets, implement new or updated software, and assist with developing an overall IT network strategy. As a Network System Administrator, you will work closely with Technical Support Engineers to support and troubleshoot day to day issues to maintain high network and system reliability for customers.

What You Can Offer
Administer systems, including new servers, virtual machines, and network devices.
Administrate essential network operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, monitoring systems, software, and hardware.
Provide technical troubleshooting, education, and training support for network users.
Create and maintain network documentation, including hardware and software configurations, network configurations, and user systems.
Support physical, logical, and virtual systems.
Ensure high-availability systems, data integrity, security, and disaster recovery configurations.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Computer Science required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting end users, providing technical assistance, and resolving technical issues for known operating systems required; 4–6 years preferred.
Cloud-based services and virtualization experience required.
SQL and AWS support experience required.
VMware experience preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
