    Job Description

STUDENT PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, Technical Leadership and Comm Programs-Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program (UPOP), to join a yearlong professional development program for sophomores focusing on building skills in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving guided by UPOP’s unique community of industry mentors, employer partners, program alumni, and dedicated staff. Will implement direct service programs to students, including student advising and academic services, lead curriculum development efforts, manage and contribute to administrative activities, including event planning and outreach activities in support of UPOP. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least two years of experience in academic administration in a higher education setting providing career services to students, customer relations, human resources, or related field; excellent time management, organizational, multitasking, interpersonal, written communication, and public speaking skills; experience with current educational practices in career counseling; ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven, fast-paced work environment; meticulous attention to detail; self-motivation and ability to work both independently and as a team member; excellent judgment, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity with confidential information; strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office; and willingness to learn. PREFERRED: master’s degree in higher education, counseling or another relevant field; experience working in a technical field or with students pursuing technical degrees; and experience with employer relations, recruiting, or other hiring processes. Job #23973-7 Work conditions: ascending ladders and lifting/moving boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. to a height of three to four feet onto carts for transportation, recruiting, or other hiring processes.
