    Job Description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, FAN LAB, Picower Institute for Learning and Memory/Brain and Cognitive Sciences (2 openings), to join an interdisciplinary team whose research focuses on developing and applying novel high-precision optical and molecular technologies to watch and perturb the brain in action. The lab leverages these cutting-edge technologies and integrates them with behavioral, molecular, and computational approaches to understand how the brain encodes, stores, and recalls information. The position offers the opportunity to develop all-optical physiological techniques to interface with the brain and to study plasticity mechanisms in various neural circuits and behavior. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Ph.D. and scholarly expertise in a related topic area (multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary applications are welcome); project and data management skills, including open science practices; demonstrated rigor in experimental design and data analysis; self-motivation; ability to work collaboratively, and a proven publication record. Seek individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas: microscopy and image analysis, systems neuroscience, physiology, protein engineering, and/or optogenetics.
