OUTREACH PROGRAM COORDINATOR, Office of the Provost-Venture Mentoring Service (VMS)-Outreach Training Program, to provide broad administrative support and perform complex program coordination and planning for the MIT Venture Mentoring Service (VMS) Outreach Training Program. Will be responsible for all administrative and planning support for the program’s three main efforts--sales process, planning and execution of training programs, and post-training client relationship. Will also support communications and interactions with the program’s volunteer team, anticipate and initiate actions regarding the program’s operational infrastructure, and support the Outreach Program’s director and assistant director as a contributor to multiple initiatives and projects. MIT VMS (https://vms.mit.edu/) provides free, confidential and unconflicted business advice to entrepreneurs from the MIT community through teams of experienced volunteer mentors. Through its Outreach Training Program (https://vms.mit.edu/outreach-training-program) , MIT VMS helps other organizations around the world establish their own formal venture mentoring programs based on the MIT VMS Model. Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least three years of administrative support, program coordination, project management, or related experience; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; keen attention to accuracy and detail; project management skills; discretion with confidential information; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and ability to learn new software quickly. Will be required to learn Advance database, CRM, Concur, etc. Must be able to prioritize, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and meet deadlines under time constraints; analyze, synthesize, and present information; problem solve; work independently and as part of a team; and interact effectively with a diverse group of people. PREFERRED: knowledge of MIT and other entrepreneurship and innovation organizations; and experience with QuickBase, SurveyMonkey, MailChimp, and LinkedIn/social media.
