    OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE, OSATT-Technology Licensing Office, performs complex and diverse administrative support, and functions as a high-level contributor; delivers superior customer service effectively interpreting, resolving, and triaging highly varied situations, issues, inquiries and requests from MIT DLCIs, faculty, students, licensees, vendors and others seeking information; serves as the front line of support for MIT researchers and other visitors; ensures TLO space is welcoming and well maintained; addresses facility and custodial concerns, and regularly restocks supplies; coordinates digital and physical file archiving and retrieval of hard copy archived documents; supports new disclosure intake and thesis hold activities; assists with and supports scheduling, planning, and execution of various meetings and special events, such as All Staff meetings, hosting visitors, workshops or outreach events; and provides administrative support to the Associate Director, Operations.

    Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High school diploma; at least 3 years of administrative, office or related experience required; robust organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; ability to quickly learn complex, nuanced material and to independently assess, research and triage information; proven interpersonal and customer service skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; keen time management skills with the ability to effectively multitask, set priorities and use discretion and judgment to problem solve a variety of issues and requests; willingness to learn about the history and business of the TLO; ability and willingness to work occasional early morning and/or evening hours to support special events. PREFRRED: bachelor’s degree; experience in a university tech transfer office; understanding of complex databases, workflow-based tools, and extracting information from a complex database. TLO onsite core days are Tuesday and Wednesday, in addition to a third onsite day.
