Job Description
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT II, OFFICE OF PHILANTHROPIC PARTNERSHIPS (OPP), Resource Development, to provide OPP--under minimal supervision--with high-level administrative support. Will provide complex administrative and logistical support for philanthropic advisors, including calendar and travel management, complex itinerary and meeting preparation, expense processing, and documenting donor activity; collaborate with other OPP staff members and deal with multiple campus constituencies to coordinate and complete OPP projects and tasks; and perform other administrative tasks related to building and maintaining a successful fundraising program to achieve OPP goals.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years’ administrative, office, or related experience, preferably providing administrative support and database management in fundraising, higher education, or other nonprofit setting; flexibility and adaptability; ability to assess priorities, meet deadlines, manage and follow up on a variety of complex activities in a fast-paced deadline driven environment; discretion when handling confidential information; excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills; ability to interact and work cooperatively with a variety of people and communicate with diplomacy; strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; experience and a high degree of proficiency with FileMaker Pro and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook); and familiarity with or ability to acquire proficiency with donor database management systems. Seek someone who is proactive, demonstrates initiative, seeks out ways to improve processes, and consistently exercises independent judgment in organizing and carrying out work and obtaining results.
