    Job Description

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF EMPLOYER OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT, Career Advising and Professional Development, to assist with overall employer outreach and new employer development efforts. Will establish new and strengthen current employer contacts through outreach activities such as cold calls, mass mailings, and individual employer meetings and visits; manage career services engagement with employers through employer visits and hosting on-campus events (e.g. workshops, webinars, presentation, or symposiums); collaborate with the associate director to cultivate strategic relationships with diverse MIT departments, labs, and programs, enhancing the employer recruiting experience and knowledge base; drive special initiatives aimed at diversifying employers and organizations engaging with the MIT community; collaborate with employer relations team to reconcile team financial transactions; analyze outcome data from exit surveys, summer experience surveys, career and professional development programming, and other career-related sources; assist with developing recruiting policies, rules, and regulations and help resolve conflicts and troubleshoot issues related to employer relations programs; and lead a career community by serving as a liaison to one or more academic programs, targeted populations, student organizations or career communities. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; three years’ experience in a related business or career office setting; ability to interact collaboratively and build effective relationships with students, faculty, and administrators at a research institution; interest in the principles of an MIT education and in extending that education to contribute to society and solve the world’s problems; knowledge of and appreciation for cross-cultural and bias issues; and ability to work with diverse populations.
