    Job Description

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2, Corporate Relations (CR), to provide administrative support to program directors (PDs) under minimal supervision. The duties performed will be in direct support of and serve to facilitate the major activities of the Industrial Liaison Program (ILP), a membership-based program for large, global organizations interested in long-term, strategic relationships with MIT that yield transformative results.  ILP activities include company visits and events in its conference/events facilities, visits out to member companies around the world, executive briefing meetings on-site, video conferences, webinars, and the preparation of and follow-up on these activities. Specific duties and priorities vary among PDs and their portfolios of member companies and prospects. Will learn and employ tools to perform complex and diverse duties in support of Corporate Relations, including Salesforce, Concur, SAP, and other custom tools; develop and use knowledge of the Institute, other departments, and accepted CR operations to anticipate and initiate actions regarding office operations; work with vendors including caterers and office services providers; and work cooperatively within a team of administrative assistants.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma; at least three years of direct/related professional experience in a business office setting; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple priorities; judgment and tact; attention to detail; ability to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders; and proficient to-advanced-level knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), preferably using Macintosh computer systems.
