About This Role:

We’re looking for a top-producing sales professional who can use their curiosity and self-motivation to help expand our existing account base of technology providers.

With an assigned quota, you’ll find and close new business within your assigned territory. This will mean developing a territory strategy that balances both proactive and reactive lead generation that’ll ultimately lead to numerous weekly meetings, as well as the running of a consultative sales cycle. Success requires a transparent and repeatable sales process with experience in entering and growing business in new markets.

You’ll get the opportunity to work with top executives at exciting and impactful technology and service providers. Your role is about understanding their challenges and demonstrating how Forrester will deliver value and help them achieve their mission. To do this, building and developing relationships, with the ability to command presence, is essential.

Job Description:

  • Prospect and close appropriate new-business prospects from a list based on a specific geography.

  • Sell to senior management (C-level including CEOs, CMOs, CROs, CSOs, CPOs, etc.) at prospect accounts.

  • Maintain the minimum weekly/daily metrics, and ensure quota is met consistently.

  • Produce accurate and timely forecasts.

  • Develop a complete understanding of all our product offerings.

  • Translate product and solutions into positive business outcomes to C-level prospects.

  • Understand the changing business and technology issues and needs that our potential clients face.

  • Work with analyst, consultants, and product teams to better understand our value proposition for technology vendors.

Job Requirements:

  • A proven track record of prospecting and selling to C-level executives at technology and service providers.

  • Average experience of two to four years in similar role.

  • Experience in selling business services to C-level professionals in a highly competitive market would be an advantage.

  • The ability to use social media, email and phone to prospect and book meetings.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • The ability to align client business objectives with Forrester solutions.

  • Effective organization and time management skills.

  • A team player.

  • A high level of business acumen.

  • Interested in technology and its business impact.

  • A fast learner.

Please note that the base salary range indicated here is inclusive of all applicable US geographies listed in this requisition. This salary range is based upon the position as described in the job listing. The offered compensation may vary within this range and is dependent upon the successful candidate’s primary work location, experience, training, education, and credentials.

Base salary range: $47,016 - $85,234

Applicants in Colorado: please refer to the annual base salary range and estimated commission target indicated below. Base salary is dependent on an employee’s experience and skills compared to the requirements of the role.

Base salary range: $52,240 - $85,234

The following percentage is an estimated variable target as a percentage of base salary, in accordance with the Forrester Sales Global Compensation Plan. Individual and company performance and other factors as set forth in the applicable plan will determine the actual incentive amount earned. 

Commission target: 54%
