Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. ​​Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. As a Senior Product Manager you will work with the platform team to provide a unified experience, unified governance, enable a unified business model and a unified architecture. ​

​​The platform team works on administration and governance-related features that drive enterprise capabilities such as feature management, APIs, security, auditing, self-serve monitoring, and access control. These capabilities empower customers to manage complex data environments with robust security policies, automate data governance, and ensure seamless monitoring and control over data assets at scale.

Responsibilities

  • ​​​​Deliver a world-class product with exceptional user experience to our customers on time

  • Create clarity on the product vision, roadmap, and plan

  • Define, drive and track success criteria and performance metrics such as engagement, usage, profitability etc. and incorporate into planning and execution

  • Work with stakeholders to deliver success across the customer, product, and business

  • Work with customers to understand their pain points and make them successful

  • Collaborate with partner teams to deliver new value in our product and across Microsoft’s products

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • ​​Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.
