Canadian Tire In-Store Marketing Manager in Calgary, Alberta

What you’ll do

As the In-Store Marketing Manager at Mark's, you will play a critical role in creating captivating in-store experiences through effective signage and marketing elements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising, to develop compelling strategies that enhance our customers' shopping journey

  • Signage and Marketing Strategy: In partnership with team leadership, develop and implement comprehensive in-store marketing strategies aligned with Mark's brand guidelines. Create visually appealing signage and marketing materials that engage customers and drive sales.

  • Collaborative Project Management: Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the successful execution of in-store marketing projects. Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • Customer Decision Journeys: Leverage your expertise in customer behavior to develop customer decision journeys within our stores. Identify key touchpoints and execute tactics to optimize the customer experience and drive conversion.

  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team member responsible for supporting in-store marketing initiatives. Foster their growth and development through coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.

  • Vendor Management: Build strong relationships with external vendors, such as print houses and suppliers, to ensure high-quality output while optimizing costs. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to meet project objectives.

  • Market Awareness and Responsiveness: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer preferences. Continuously assess the effectiveness of in-store marketing initiatives and make data-driven recommendations to enhance their impact.

What you bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, print, marketing or related roles within the retail industry.

  • Print Signage Expertise: Strong background in developing visually appealing print signage that effectively communicates brand messages and drives customer engagement.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrated experience in developing customer decision journeys and implementing tactics that improve customer satisfaction and drive sales.

  • Retail Experience: Sound understanding of the retail industry dynamics, including store operations, merchandising principles, and customer behavior within physical retail environments.

  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within allocated budgets while maintaining high quality standards.

  • Leadership Abilities: Ability to lead a team member effectively, fostering their growth, providing guidance, and motivating them towards achieving departmental goals.

  • Creative Thinking: Strong ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing concepts that captivate customers and differentiate Mark's from competitors.

  • Education: Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
