Canadian Tire Consultant, Digital Marketing in Calgary, Alberta

What you’ll do

The Associate Manager, Digital Marketing is a key role in the advancement of Canadian Tire Corporation’s “One Company” approach, with accountability for Sport Chek’s digital performance programs. This role will be responsible for digital demand generation and delivering eCommerce growth, with a view to impact on bricks and mortar sales. You will be responsible for planning, monitoring and executing the performance of digital marketing channels. You will drive digital performance in support of company growth objectives through Paid Search, Display, Social, Affiliates and Email. Other responsibilities may include:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of performance digital channels including SEM, Social, Display, Affiliate and Email campaigns.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for performance digital channels focused on website traffic and omni-channel revenue.

  • Work collaboratively with our in-house digital operations team as well as other key vendors such as Google, Facebook, etc.

  • Support strategic development and execution of Performance Marketing digital plans, contributing to annual KPIs.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of promo and strategic marketing campaigns are present and consistent across all digital channels.

  • Own monthly budget management, including reconciliation of digital ad spend, budget forecasting and channel performance forecasting.

  • Own digital dashboards using Google Data Studio and Supermetrics.

  • Investigate and identify new or unleveraged digital marketing opportunities.

What you bring

Working amongst a high-performing and cross-functional team, we expect you to have excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment. You will grow your leadership and coaching skills through managing indirect reports and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. We are also looking for someone who has:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a digital marketing environment including campaign and channel strategy, execution, and analytics.

  • Well-versed in digital media disciplines as well as online marketing programs, including affiliate programs, e-mail, and non-traditional buying practices.

  • Experience using Bid Management, Ad Management and Analytics Tools: Search Ads 360, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Data Studio

  • Experience deep diving into data and using analytics to provide recommendations, strong excel skillset is a must.

  • Budget management experience.

  • Post-secondary education or related experience in Marketing, Business or Finance

  • Agency background or in-house experience in digital marketing or eCommerce environment is an asset.
