We are open to look for an Associate Director, Execution who will oversee the credit underwriting of a portfolio of National Accounts on complex transactions in order to efficiently maximize service standards and execution of all National Accounts customers covered by the team or..... for the more experienced individual the Directors role.

The Director, Execution contributes to the profitable growth and quality of the Bank’s Commercial Credit portfolio by performing financial solutions-related activities for clients including risk analysis, deal structuring, pricing, negotiation and presentation on highly complex deals, across the National Accounts segment in a defined market area. They ensure business strategies, plans and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you?

  • Ensuring timely analysis, structure and presentation of credit/financial solutions/proposals within the defined market area.

  • Providing prompt and sound recommendations in the analysis and adjudication of credit proposals.

  • Ensuring that communication to the Directors, National Accounts (Relationship Managers) clearly convey the rationale for decisions, so that they may respond effectively to clients

  • Ensures the accurate communication of the terms and conditions of an authorization and supervises the effective and timely implementation.

  • Directing and assisting Senior Client Solutions Analysts in the detailed evaluation of all information received, reporting deficiencies or any negative findings to senior management.

  • Advising senior management of any credit weaknesses developing within individual accounts, by ongoing awareness and analysis of relevant financial, legal, political, technological, and industry information.

  • Provide coaching/counselling to Senior Client Solutions Analysts and/or Associate Group Lead.

  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

  • Providing guidance, coaching and counsel to Directors, National Accounts, so that they may better serve clients’ needs.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if:

  • You have in-depth knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies, practices and procedures, as well as an awareness of business trends economic, technological, social, legal and political conditions and factors which could affect the viability of a credit.

  • A solid knowledge and understanding of financial statements and accounting principles and policies is a must.

  • Good understanding of the syndications and capital markets.

  • Because of large volumes and tight time frames, must possess effective communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Experience in the administration of credit, complex loan documentation and security provision requirements must be understood and applied. (Loan agreements frequently extend to 100 pages or more.)

  • You are highly organized, analytical and a logical person.

  • Excellent credit skills and significant credit experience.

  • Extremely strong risk assessment and analysis skills as well proven accounting and financial analysis skills.

  • Expert deal structuring skills.

  • Proven coaching skills.

  • Good understanding of customer profitability model.

  • Ability to build solid business case justification for deals.

  • Superior negotiation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Superior product knowledge.

  • Good industry knowledge with areas of specialization, where required.

  • An undergraduate degree in business or economics (or work equivalency) is a requirement.

What's in it for you?

  • You will lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout the National Accounts teams to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

  • This role will allow you to complete and review credits for complex and/or highly customized borrowing relationships, with credit authorizations of $25MM+ and/or deposits > $50MM+ .

  • Work with various partners across the Bank, including Corporate Banking, GRM, and Shared Services.

  • Manage a team of one to three team members depending on region compliment.

  • Report to the Director and Head of National Accounts.

Working Conditions:

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Frequent travel primarily domestically.
