Tufts Medicine Technical Project Consultant, Tufts Medicine Integrated Network in Burlington, Massachusetts
The Technical Project Consultant is the person on the Community Connect Team to lead and participate in any technical aspects of projects, including practice implementations to Epic. This would include working with practices regarding data conversions, appointment conversions, interfaces, reporting and hardware. This role will work collaboratively with the IS Department and will be a liaison for the Community Connect team and the various technical resources within IS. This role would report to the Senior Implementation Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Work with the Community Connect Project Implementation Consultants and the physician practices to coordinate and assist with the data and appointment conversion process.
Provide technical guidance and assistance to evaluate and complete any interface requests
Participate in implementation meetings as needed where technical items and hardware are being discussed
Evaluate and assist with reporting needs for both implementing and post-live physician practices
Coordinate and oversee the hardware components of a practice implementation answering any questions & ensuring the practice has a hardware vendor
Assist the Community Connect Engagement Manager as needed during meetings with practices thinking about moving to Epic
Assist the Customer Success Consultants with any technical questions that may arise from their practices
Provide guidance to the Community Connect Team regarding technical aspects of Epic
Assist with Service Now tickets as needed
Pull data from legacy systems as needed as well as Epic to support quality program reporting, MIPS and any other data requirements
Participate in discussions for new quality reporting that is needed as well as accomplishing the workflows to meet the reporting needs
Assists as needed with technical aspects of EpicCare Link
Problem solves technical challenges for physician practices affiliated with Tufts Medicine whether on Epic or another EMR system
Assist the performance management team regarding Epic technical questions as needed
Work collaboratively with the WIISE team regarding Community Connect practices data conversions
Assist as needed with any SFTP process where practices may need a file drop for their billing file
Manage any Clearwave texting campaigns as needed until the functionality moves into Epic and assist with that process
Maintains a technical understanding of MyTuftsMed and appointment reminders to work collaboratively with IS to troubleshoot issues and practice questions
Assists the Customer Success Consultants and Implementation Project Consultants to provide information for any planned system upgrades and resulting functional changes
Participate in projects as a technical consultant as needed
Act as a mentor to Implementation Project Consultants and Customer Success Consultants
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in a healthcare or IT related field
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in healthcare technology
Demonstrated knowledge of interfaces and use of a Cloverleaf interface engine
Epic certification preferred in Bridges & Cogito
A strong understanding of appointment and data conversion, overall system structure & data management
Knowledge and demonstrated use of SQL and the ability to pull data from Epic & legacy EMR/PM systems as needed
Ability to seek innovative solutions to technical challenges
Understanding of hardware and the requirements needed for the Epic system
Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with clients utilizing excellent communication and customer service skills
Understanding of clinical quality measures and MIPS measures and reporting
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment
Self-driven and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work and communicate with physicians
