Job Description

The Delivery Support Specialist (Mainframe Coordinator) provides first line problem resolution, analysis or technical support on issues related to the non-production (development and test) environments. This position has the overall responsibility for keeping the non-production environments stable and functional. This position supports the development, QA, UAT and regression groups on all aspects of system issues reported during the development and testing phases. Exhibits a sense of urgency and exercises due diligence in resolving non-production issues quickly to ensure the timely delivery of projects. Works closely with developers, testers, systems architects, DBAs, project managers, etc.. to assess and correct all issues in the non-production environments. Troubleshoots problems and contacts other technical groups for consultation as required. Seeks and proposes areas of improvements to eliminate chronic issues and maintain stability.Along with supporting the test environments, this person will support major code releases and perform application shakeouts. Management may also assign other miscellaneous tasks where help is needed.This role is not a development role, however there might times where it is required.Duties and Responsibilities include: - Troubleshoot, and resolve problems in the non-production environments.- Provide incident resolution support by coordinating with proper resources.- Manage the workload of technical support issues on a timely basis.- Track trends and report issues to management, providing recommendations for resolutions.- Identify opportunities for potential process improvements.- Perform application shakeouts and support major releases.- Track and coordinate offshore progress on assignments.- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with the following programming languages and technical tools: COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, MQ Series, Changeman, IDz, Total Test and Rational Asset Analyzer.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Web Services, WSAD, AIX, UDB is a plus. - Experience with UFT and UIPath Studio also a plus.- Knowledge of healthcare transaction systems preferred- Strong problem-solving skills- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities- Solid organizational abilities- Strong interpersonal skills- Flexible on assignments.
