CVS Health Clinical Pharmacist, Formulary Management in Buffalo Grove, Illinois

Job Description

Pharmacist, Formulary Management is responsible for leading and executing the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the Health Exchanges formularies, including formulary-related processes and programs and ensuring full compliance with applicable CMS rules and state specific regulations. Provide oversight of change notification processes for template formularies and drug file maintenance. Provides clinical subject matter expertise and support for internal and external clients. Other responsibilities include: 1. Prepares formulary submission setups and updates – includes evaluating drugs for tiering based on cost, clinical classification, quality checking, troubleshooting client issues with submissions, and provision of member documents. 2. Provides business enhancement proposals, contributes to requirement specifications, and performs user acceptance testing on enhancements to Formulary Management Tool and other formulary projects. 3. Provide subject matter expertise and support for internal and external clients. Supports internal departments with clinical and analytical requests concerning formulary (e.g. RFP, Actuary, Marketing, Account Services). 4. Develop and maintain policy and procedure and work instructions.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 82000

Maximum: 176800

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in a Managed Care environment experience. - Active Illinois pharmacist license that is in good standing.
