We want to find an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented SAP Development Lead for our SAP Back Office team . This position can be located in Waltham, MA, Brooklyn, NY, Hicksville, NY, or Syracuse, NY (candidates may also reside in either Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine). What you'll do

As a SAP Development Lead, you'll work with contractors, onshore and offshore developers, functional analysts, solution architects, and Development Leads of other IT Teams to develop and implement high quality SAP integration solutions. You'll perform project quality management tasks, such as peer reviews on technical specifications and code reviews. You will also be migrating to and working with upcoming S/4 HANA and BTP cloud integrations. Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide technical oversight, guidance, and support to the development and project teams involving multiple projects and tasks

  • Manage the National Grid development & integration team including task assignment, performance reviews etc in addition to taking on development work as an individual contributor to supplement project development and integration

  • Collaborate with SAP functional analysts and Operations business analysts to provide programming support and direction in designing and developing innovative solutions for complex business scenarios with RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflow) objects

  • Design and implement technical solutions for integrations, interfaces, enhancements, and conversions with SAP and beyond, including web services and mobile applications

  • Develop custom integration solutions using SAP integration technologies like BTP Integration Suite, CPI, PO, ALE/IDocs, and XML

  • Develop custom solutions using customized transactions and the enhancement framework including user exits, BADIs, and BAPIs to provide additional functionality not available within standard SAP

  • Develop custom solutions with S/4 HANA Cloud side-by-side extensions using SAP Build and ABAP cloud in Business Application Studio

  • Convert business requirements and formalize specifications into Technical Design Documents for custom development

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • Strong experience and working knowledge of SAP integration technologies (BTP Integration suite, CPI, PO, ALE/IDocs, BAPIs, XML, OData services, flat-file interfaces)

  • Strong experience and working knowledge of the ABAP development skills primarily BADIs, BAPIs, RFCs, user exits, OO ABAP with class objects, business objects, ABAP on HANA, HANA CDS

  • Hands-on experience in Cloud Application Programming model (SAP Build, ABAP Cloud) and ABAP Restful Application programming model using Business Application Studio

  • Experience with various SAP ECC modules

  • Experience with S/4 HANA and BTP Integration Suite and Business Application Studio

  • Basic knowledge of Agile software delivery models (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum)

Salary

Dowstate NY $122,000 - $173,000 a year

Massachusetts $115,000 - $162,000 a year

Upstate NY $102,000 - $144,000 a year

Salary is commensurate with experience and location

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
