Part-Time Faculty - Fashion Design Department (71103) Location: Brooklyn, NY Description: The Fashion Design department at Pratt Institute, located in Brooklyn, NY, is creating a pool of applicants to join our part-time faculty community. At Pratt, we define fashion practice as cultural messaging through clothes. Students contextualize fashion within a social framework and through rigorous attention to production, craft, and contemporary aesthetics. Pay Rate: $1,300 - $1,720 per contact hour Qualifications: Candidates professional or scholarly focus may include a broad set of interests within the field including design, textiles, and knitwear. We encourage applicants with experience and knowledge in the following areas of expertise: Historical and critical perspectives on contemporary fashion design Non-western perspectives on fashion design Sustainability, materials and circular design practices Digital storytelling, networked design, augmented/virtual reality and CLO3D Technology, culture and fashion media The Fashion Departments yearly plan of study can be viewed here .
