Lecturer - Mental Health and Human Services Job ID 28339 Location Kingsborough Community College Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Add to My Favorite Jobs FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT the Department of Mental Health, Allied Health and Human Services seeks a full-time Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in Mental Health and Human Services Program. Duties include teaching a full-time load of Human Services courses, mentoring Mental Health and Human Services students, lecture planning, curriculum development and assessment. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide supervision, mentoring and instruction at field internships and assessing student work, convene regularly with faculty and the program director and participate in programmatic and departmental committee work and meetings and participate in yearly curriculum assessment process with reporting of measures and findings. Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise and participate in Student Club activities. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in related field or Ph.D., completed or in progress Current LMHC or LMSW licensure with proof of maintenance 5 years of teaching experience, minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of Mental Health and 3 years in Education, teaching Mental Health courses. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with course sequencing and adaptability to provide instruction for alternate courses within the program, as needed Documented consistency of participation in Continuing Education in the field of Mental Health and Human Services and Professional Development activities as an educator Demonstrated scholarship or achievement and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the program, department, College and University The ability to teach successfully and independently Student advisement experience is highly preferred Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully COMPENSATION $69,983 - $79,170. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
