Job Purpose

The Lead Analyst in the New York Transformation, Efficiency department will collaborate with key business stakeholders across the jurisdiction and its functional partners to monitor the delivery of the NY efficiency portfolio, driving conversations that assess progress, identify gaps/prevent overlaps, and help burn down risks. The role will also include deriving annual targets that align with corporate strategies and efficiency/Evolution targets; developing monthly commentary and recommendations to address value plan variances; and helping the business link delivery against specific initiatives to budget and rate case achievement. In addition, the analyst will contribute to the development and implementation of a transformation plan to build a sustainable, long-term approach to identifying and realizing efficiencies and embedding an efficiency culture in the business.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor New York value case portfolio and analyze variances to baseline performance and targets

• Liaise with NY business, Finance and Transformation Office partners to generate lessons learned for continuous improvement and identify roadblocks / portfolio risks

• Develop decisions/actions with stakeholders to mitigate risks and issues and/or recalibrate portfolio

• Provide guidance and help promote the standards of use of EnterpriseHub (eHub) for value case project management

• Help develop both short-term efficiency targets for the business and evolve our long-term approach to delivering work efficiently and optimizing cost of service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred

• Business, Project Management, Process, Engineering, or similar discipline, preferred

• 5+ years relevant work experience

• Regulated gas or electric industry experience strongly preferred

• Project management experience

• Portfolio management experience

• PowerBI skills highly desirable

• Data and Variance Analysis

• Technical writing, presentation

• Business Skills Stakeholder Engagement, Project Management, Performance Excellence

• Leadership Skills

• Ability to facilitate and coordinate effectively across multiple internal organizations

• Ability to quickly build a robust internal network

• Experience of working with and influencing key stakeholders

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Strong communication skills both oral & written

• Ability to present articulately at committees and stakeholder forums

More Information

Salary

$123k to $174k a year, NYC

$103k to $145k a year, Syracuse
