Reporting to the President, the Executive Chief of Staff at Kingsborough Community College will take the lead on the Performance Management Plan, Customer Service Training and Professional Development for staff. Additional responsibilities include: Supervises the daily operation of the Office of the President. Undertakes special projects and serves as an advisor to the President. Participates as a member of the President?s Senior Staff and associated meetings to ensure efficient communication and understanding of emerging and on-going issues. Ensures appropriate follow up/ implementation/ resolution of salient Senior Staff meeting items Assists the President and his/her Cabinet in the implementation of initiatives and accomplishing goals across the College. Works with senior members of the administration to achieve the President?s and College?s goals. Serves as liaison from the President?s Office in areas important to the implementation of strategic priorities for the College, both internal and external. Represents the President on various committees and assists in the decision-making process. Serves as liaison for the President?s Office with students, faculty, staff and the community. Represents the President and College at community and governmental functions. Responds to inquiries made to the President?s Office and in addressing unresolved problems and ad hoc issues. Exercises considerable judgment to analyze such issues and to develop solutions. Conduct analyses and offer recommendations relative to College policies, procedures, organizational structure, institutional priorities and planning and evaluation to revise existing policies and establish new policies, procedures, and practices. Work with Marketing and Public Relations to coordinate responses to media on behalf of the Office of the President. Other duties assigned by the President Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. QUALIFICATIONS This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.
