EOC Business Affairs Manager (EOC HEA) - BEOC Job ID 27469 Location NYC College of Technology Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Add to My Favorite Jobs POSITION DETAILS The State University of New York, Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center, administered by New York City College of Technology/CUNY, provides tuition free academic and workforce development training to eligible New York State residents, providing a pathway to lifelong learning, college access and economic self-sufficiency. Under general supervision, the Business Affairs Manager, as deputy to the Director of Business Affairs, assumes responsibility for fiscal matters for the Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center as follows. As required, the Business Affairs Manager will also oversee service in administrative areas, including facilities and security. The duties of the position include but are not limited to the following: Plan and direct budgetary accounting operations and procedures Manage preparation and review of expenditure reports Oversee payroll and time and leave and liaise with the University Payroll Office Supervise EOC Assistants, Office Assistants, Interns and Federal Work Study students Assist in developing, conducting, and supervising the Center?s budget and finance activities Assist in developing and directing a comprehensive internal accounting and reporting system and expenditure controls Attend formal and informal meetings and hearings regarding affairs of the Business Office operations Provide advice to Center management on the development of budgetary and fiscal policy, improvements in fiscal reporting, cost effectiveness of programs, and budgetary priorities Serve as project director on grants and manage contracts Other duties as assigned Flexible schedule is required: may include day, evening and weekend hours. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor?s degree and six years? related experience required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Master?s degree preferred in business administration, public administration, accounting or related degree. Experience in fiscal reporting, budgeting, and contract management. Strong familiarity with payroll preparation and processing, purchasing, and program cost reporting in a government or not-for-profit agency. Proficiency with accounting software. CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Reporting to the Executive Director or designee, manages the operations and daily workflow of an Educational Opportunity Center (EOC). Manages various aspects of EOC administrative operations such as facilities and technology. Develops and implements operational policies and procedures. Assesses functions to support senior management decision-making; creates solutions to increase efficiency and productivity; and utilizes metrics to monitor and evaluate performance. Manages vendor relationships; ensures contract compliance. Assists with budget management. Collects, analyzes and reports on operations and outcomes. May participate in funding, marketing and/or outreach activities. May supervise staff. Performs related duties as assigned. CUNY TITLE EOC Higher Education Associate FLSA Exempt COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS $67,784 to $86,645. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
