Job Title: Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) - Radiologic Technology and Medical Imaging Job ID: 23183 Location: NYC College of Technology Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT New York City College of Technology (City Tech) of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college offering 60 associate and bachelor?s degree programs in downtown Brooklyn, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Radiological Science and Radiologic Technology at the assistant professor level, to begin in Fall 2022. The Radiologic Technology and Medical Imaging department offers a BS degree in Radiological Science and an AAS degree in Radiologic Technology & Medical Imaging. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in the core curriculum of both BS degree and AAS degree programs. The AAS program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Candidates should have a history of significant experience in the radiological sciences. In addition to teaching, this position offers an opportunity to develop curricula and pedagogy, conduct scholarly work, and contribute to the vitality of a dynamic and highly regarded department, with strong links to hospitals and other health care providers The position requires a commitment to teaching, scholarly research resulting in publications, presentations and/or other creative products, sustained service to the department and college, and academic advisement. Duties include: Teaching courses in the diverse offerings of the department. Working collaboratively on department level efforts, playing an active role in the creation, development, and assessment of new curricula and pedagogy Participating actively in College/University-wide initiatives Providing student advisement and guidance Day, evening, and weekend teaching and department duties may be required. Continued professional growth and scholarly contributions to the field are expected. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum master?s degree and substantial clinical experience required; doctorate preferred in an appropriate field. Current New York State licensure and ARRT certification, advanced imaging certification in CV, CT, MR or mammography and previous teaching in an accredited radiography program are preferred.
