POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Work with Principal Investigators (PIs) and research team members to develop and update study protocols, including the data collection tools/case report forms. Work with PIs to develop recruitment strategies and manage a tracking database; prepare regular reports for the PIs and study team about recruitment and tracking. Help develop and maintain study databases using REDCap/other platforms, and document research notes in Epic. Supervise potential patient/participant screening, recruitment, and linkage to services. This may include gathering information from the medical record, conducting outreach to recruit emergency department patients, and scheduling research and clinical follow-up visits. Manage the collection of informed consent and enrollment of participants in approved protocols. Schedule participants according to the approved protocol; coordinate with ancillary service providers to ensure patients/participants remain adherent to the protocol and are connected to appropriate support services as needed. Perform dried blood spot sample collection with documented training or willingness to be trained. Assist in managing, cleaning, organizing study data as needed. Coordinate efforts/scheduling/time management with other team members to ensure study coverage as needed. Assist in drafting reports/manuscripts, preparing conference abstracts and presentations. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Experience and Educational Background: Bachelor's degree is required. Skills and Competencies As the nature of the work is collaborative and community-engaged with the Einstein team, emergency departments, and the Montefiore Prevention Program, a strong capacity to work as part of a team, cross-cultural humility/sensitivity, and effective interpersonal skills are required. As part of a team, must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, communicate regularly with team members, and adhere to study protocols. Detail oriented, self-directed. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); familiarity with Redcap database. Epic/electronic health record familiarly and/or ability to quickly learn. Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative analyses. Strong writing skills with the ability to potentially contribute to scientific documents Fluency in English and Spanish preferrable Minimum Salary Range USD $55,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary Range USD $55,000.00/Yr. ABOUT US The Study Coordinator will work on an NIH-funded sexual health and HIV-related research study. The study is a prevention and linkage-to-care clinical trial among patients in emergency departments in the Bronx, NY.
