Department: Academic Initiatives Campus: Rose Hill (RH) - Bronx Position Summary: Reporting to the Principal Investigator of the NIH grant, the Project Director/Lab Manager is a 2-year position on an existing 5-year NIH -funded grant to conduct a longitudinal study of sleep, health, and academic disparities during the college transition through graduation. They will be a part of the Youth Development in Diverse Contexts Lab . Essential Functions: Assumes day-to-day management of the YDDC lab. Implements study procedures. Collects and manages data; constructs and maintains data collection instruments and protocols (i.e., online Qualtrics surveys, biomarker collection, anthropometric measures, institutional records); participates in design and conduct of basic and complex data analyses. Manages and tracks participant retention and other study protocols over time. Manages recruitment, scheduling and maintaining ongoing communications with participants and University administrators. Communicates with the Principal Investigator, doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, and undergraduate research assistants. Conducts project administration and operations (i.e., IRB , survey management, lab and project meetings, recruitment, participant payment, project finances, equipment and supply purchasing, participant communication and tracking, etc....). Directs weekly lab meetings. Manages ongoing funding activities including administrative and research support for grant writing and managing submissions and ongoing reporting requirements. Participates in writing, presenting, and submitting research reports to professional conferences and scientific peer-reviewed journals. Required Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. is minimum in the fields of psychology, education, public health, or relevant social science. Minimum 2 years' full-time experience with research in a team-based setting, and comfort using research and statistical software and survey platforms. Preferred Qualifications: M.A. or M.S. Minimum Salary: 43,000 Maximum Salary: 60,000
