POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for leading cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing staff, faculty and students' belonging and engagement plans related to diversity, inclusion, and equity to support the Albert Einstein College of Medicine's mission and strategy. The incumbent will oversee and manage events and projects planned by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, including workshops, trainings, and co-sponsorship of events with the students, faculty, collaboratively with other administrative offices. They will work directly with the Senior Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion and key stakeholders on planning, implementing, and evaluating programmatic initiatives, presentations, and publications. Lead cross-functional projects from start to finish -- working with collaborators to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with partners across the organization. Manage internal and external communications strategy with the appropriate offices that brings to life the Einstein College of Medicine D&I initiatives and drives faculty, staff, and students' engagement as it relates to the D&I strategic plan. Help develop and implement effective D&I communication strategies, web, interactive media, and marketing and informational materials. Oversee and coordinate key events and initiatives planned by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, including workshops, meetings, trainings, special events, for example. Work closely with the Senior Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion on issues pertaining to diversity and inclusion, ensuring the implementation of the plans with the other Deans, campus leaders, committees, faculty, staff, students, and external constituents to advance the Albert Einstein School of Medicine's D&I strategic plan. Support initiatives designed to increase awareness and support of equity and inclusion values, for faculty and staff members in collaboration with other members of the D&I team and the college's stakeholders. Leverage data to identify opportunities for growth, promote adoption of inclusive practices, establish, and manage the D&I reporting, while communicating insights and recommendations. Empower stakeholders and leaders to be the main drivers of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the organization, for example, through the D&I Committee Action Groups. Serve as a liaison to collaborators in the Einstein, Montefiore, and Bronx communities. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors' degree with at least 5 years of related experience in the field of diversity and inclusion, social justice advocacy, human resources and/or education preferred. Experience leading communication strategies related to health equity, social justice and D&I practices preferred. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build and steward relationships with people from diverse backgrounds Ability to lead cross-cultural groups (Inclusive mindset - Openness to difference) Change Management skills to promote, advance and lead change Excellent oral and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Understanding of marketing, communication channels and platforms and social media strategies Must have superior MS office skills including report development and presentation. Must have aptitude for technology integration. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is listed below. Albert Einstein College of Medicine considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. Minimum Salary Range USD $72,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary Range USD $80,000.00/Yr.
