Non-Teaching Adjunct -Counseling Center Job ID 24091 Location Lehman College Full/Part Time Part-Time Regular/Temporary Regular GENERAL DUTIES Completes non-teaching projects or complex work in support of a Campus or University administrative or academic department. This work is generally of a temporary nature and requires specialized experience or expertise. CONTRACT TITLE Non-Teaching Adjunct FLSA Non-exempt CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION Student Psychological Counselors (Non-Teaching Adjuncts) will be recruited to provide additional mental health services to Lehman students. Oppression Trauma Provide direct MH services to students/clients; develop and implement specialized programming and services related to oppression, racial, immigration and related traumatic experiences; supervise clinical trainees. Bereavement Provide direct MH services to students/clients; develop and implement specialized programming and services related to bereavement and loss, especially related to pandemic impact, including loss of family and friends, job loss, life and social support disruptions; supervise clinical trainees. Substance Use Harm Reduction Provide direct MH services to students/clients; develop and implement specialized programming and services related to substance use (and other addictive, compulsive behavior) harm reduction; supervise clinical trainees. Risk Management Provide direct MH services to students/clients; assist in overseeing the treatment of and managing clients with the most serious clinical risk; developing programs to identify and address serious clinical risk; supervise clinical trainees. Intentional ongoing Outreach Provide direct MH services to students/clients; develop and implement specialized outreach programming and services related to at-risk group (BIPOC, LGBTQ, immigrant, ec.); supervise clinical trainees. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS A Doctoral degree in Psychology to include Ph.D. and Psy.D. programs OR A Master's degree in an appropriate discipline for personal or psychological counseling and a New York State license as a mental health practitioner (social work, psychology, or mental health counseling). Preferred Qualifications: Experience and knowledge of student development and higher education systems Excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge of Windows based programs and other computer programs Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. COMPENSATION $45.58-$56.71 per hour BENEFITS CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification.
