Director of Alumni Engagement -Development Officer (HEO) -Institutional Advancement POSITION DETAILS Reporting to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the Director, Alumni Engagement is primarily responsible for building relationships with Lehman College alumni. The Director, Alumni Engagement will increase alumni affinity with Lehman College as measured by event participation, volunteerism, communications engagement and philanthropy. The primary responsibilities of the Director, Alumni Relations include: Develop and execute a year-round strategic plan to engage and build a culture of philanthropy within the Lehman College alumni population. Nurture relationships with faculty and administrators in support of alumni relations and other Advancement goals. Support fundraising activities via existing and developing relationships with alumni. As a staff member and part of a team dedicated to securing philanthropic support for Lehman College, the Director, Alumni Relations will: Create, review and iterate a year-round alumni relations plan, including: o Communications o Goal-oriented engagement activities o Infrastructure support successful execution Develop thematic messaging to engage various segments of alumni and deliver this messaging via website, e-mail, social media, and print communications as per approved strategy. Plan and execute strategic events for alumni audiences; partnering with Institutional Advancement staff on Pioneer Class and other events which blend engagement with philanthropy. Partner with departments across campus to ensure College alumni may access established alumni benefits. Cross-train Institutional Advancement staff on alumni relations best practices and procedures specific to Lehman College. Understand and remain up to date on current alumni relations strategy. Meet or exceed goals and metrics as set by the Vice President of Institutional Advancement. Independently exercise ethical and sound judgement and maintain the highest standards of donor privacy and confidence. Performs related duties as assigned. Evening and weekend work may be required to align with alumni relations programming strategy. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Director, Alumni Relations. CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Develops and implements strategies to secure major gifts to a College or Unit. Creates and implements thoughtful strategies to attract gifts from donors and prospects; works with management to establish, and meet, goals and targets Builds relationships, seeking new donors through prospecting using a variety of sources, and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing donors, collaborating with College and University management Ensures reporting requirements are completed in timely and accurate manner; utilizes automated systems for tracking and reporting Adheres to established protocols such as the University's gift acceptance policy Performs related duties as assigned. CUNY TITLE Higher Education Officer FLSA Exempt COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary commensurate with education and experience $111,560- $124,656.
