Prepares and sets forms. Mixes cement and concrete. Lays cement and/or concrete for floors, pavements, walks, foundations and retaining walls (plain or reinforced), etc. Screeds and finishes cement and/or concrete to grade and contour as required. Prepares material requisitions to meet job requirements. Operates power tools and equipment May supervise assigned personnel. Keeps job and other records. CONTRACT TITLE Cement Mason FLSA Non-exempt MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Five (5) years of satisfactory, full-time experience as a cement mason; or 2.At least three (3) years of full-time satisfactory experience as a cement mason, plus sufficient full-time satisfactory experience as a mason's helper, or relevant education acquired in an approved trade school, or technical school or vocational high school to make up the equivalent of the remaining experience. Six (6) months of acceptable experience will be credited for each year of such helper experience or education in an approved trade or technical school or vocational high school. Less than a full year of helper experience, or relevant education, will receive prorated credit. This position requires extraordinary physical effort. COMPENSATION $87,879 BENEFITS CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification.
