National Grid is hiring a Performance Administrator in our Customer Connections Team based in either Warwick, London, Leeds or Bristol working on a hybrid basis.

About the role

In this role you will be supporting our regional teams on project and region related data, document control and upkeep of core system performance data.

This is a new role in our newly established Performance Team in which you will lead on producing, collating, and coordinating project and team performance data.

What you'll do

  • Gathering information from the wider business and updating information in core systems

  • Manage the storage of data and documentation within designated repository on behalf of the regional teams, during project development, delivery and closure

  • Perform a technical secretary role for allocated forums/meetings in the region including action monitoring and follow up to achieve satisfactory completion.

  • Manage and track progress of documents for closure – monitor performance of all gates and handovers for designated portfolio assigned.

  • Coordinate input into lessons learnt repository for designated portfolio assigned for the collation of potential, improvements identified through the development, delivery and closure of projects. Undertake periodic, reviews with key stakeholders, identify appropriate action owners within the business to embed improvements and generate communications to disseminate across Customer Connections (as appropriate)

  • Reviewing and analysing the regional data, generating reports from core systems to aid decision making within the region and looking at continuous improvement.

What you'll need

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient experience in coordination of Business Systems within a commercial project management arena

  • Proficient experience in document management, including administration of online Collaborative Project Management systems (Livelink, SharePoint, etc. (or similar)

  • The ability to use desktop software packages to coordinate and present management information in numerical, graphical and written formats. Also able to use packages to generate reports and interrogate data (e.g. Pivot tables)

  • 5 x GCSE’s to include Maths and English or equivalent

  • Knowledge of the Electricity Transmission System would be desirable
