Rogers Enterprise IT Team is currently seeking a Solution Delivery Manager to lead the Data & AI Projects Delivery. Reporting to the Snr Manager – Data & AI Delivery, this individual will be responsible for leading work for DevOps implementation within the Connected Home, Network & Rogers Business subject area and provide SME knowledge and guidance for design, development and implementation of program \ project delivery.
Who we're looking for:
Manage a team of vendor technology professionals including direct and dotted line resources (Solution Architecture, PM, Scrum Master, BSA, Data Engineer, Developer and Non-Prod Environment support resources) on the agile and waterfall delivery teams
Ownership and management of the DevOps, foundational and change management functions.
Work closely with our Agile and traditional development teams to ensure a straightforward migration of the technical solution from environment to environment, leveraging a variety of tools and technologies
Ensure the integrity of production applications and that all software is architected and developed to meet high standards for scalability, reusability, quality, security and maintainability
Plan resource levels according to project demands, recruiting when required and utilizing alternate delivery methods such as contract or offshore resources
Facilitate creation of new and improved processes and tools by utilizing best practices and technologies in a cost-effective way
Manage project and portfolio budgets and assist in managing cost centre financials
Develop and contribute to negotiations of third-party contracts/agreements
Monitor the overall progress of projects and provide timely status updates to executives and project stakeholders
Coordinate team efforts to resolve complex issues and conflicts and escalate to executive level wherever required
Proactively engage business partners to jointly develop and maintain technology roadmaps and communicate funding and approval status, implementation schedules and actions to mitigate constraints and issues.
Ensures projects align with the business and ITS strategies, contributing to the development of plans and processes in supported organizations and business unit level and Data & AI target Architecture.
What you bring:
Demonstrated ability of successfully leading complex IT projects and programs in Cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Adobe Cloud Marketing Platforms)
Knowledge of Marketing concepts, best practices, campaign management
3+ years' experience of DevOps engagements, ideally within Agile development teams, and incorporating continuous integration techniques and tools
Technical knowledge to lead, coach and champion the team on Script development (e.g. JavaScript, Ruby, Python), Code control and continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git), and Project Management tools (e.g. JIRA)
Prior experience managing employees as direct reports.
Demonstrates experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) including system development tools and techniques, application planning and strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
General knowledge of operating systems, physical and virtual environments, networking and databases - and their use
Ability to successfully implement and control budgets
Creates clear and coherent written materials
