Rogers is seeking a Cyber Security Team Lead, Risk Management, accountable for providing leadership and oversight of Cyber Security requirements and controls during Business Program and project engagements for cyber and threat risk. The Team Lead will support business units and technology delivery teams across the organization. Working collaboratively with a team of high performing cyber risk professionals who have accountability to assess the information and cyber risks for business and technology teams.

The Team Lead in this role will evolve cyber and threat risk models and to the next level of maturity and drive key initiatives on the information security roadmap. Reporting to the Sr, Manager Cyber Risk at the Rogers Brampton Campus.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with different departments in the organization to reduce risk. From technical controls to policies.

  • Lead, motivate, develop, and maximize the contribution of multiple teams and individuals to work effectively as one team.

  • Expected to provide daily direction, coaching, feedback, to members of the team.

  • Responsible for the quality and quantity of the teams work and meeting committed timelines.

  • Manage Threat Risk Assessment activities and project privacy and cyber risk assessments for major programs/ projects across organization.

  • Partner with delivery teams to define security requirements and validate through automated security testing & reporting via defined security patterns and controls.

  • Monitor the external and internal risk landscape and drives changes to the information security strategy and enhancements to Jira Self-serve tool.

  • Build and maintain key relationships with business & technology peers and senior stakeholders to demonstrate the value and effectiveness of security to the company.

  • Effectively communicate information security risks to a diverse audience from technical staff to senior leaders to ensure that informed decisions are made, and risk is treated appropriately.

What you will bring:

  • 7+ years of broad and deep information security experience in complex technology environments.

  • Experience leading Risk analysis, assessments, and noncompliance reporting.

  • Experience with frameworks/standards such as ISO 27002, COBIT, ISF SoGP, PCI DSS, PIPEDA, Cloud Security, NIST CSF

  • Previous experience in the telecommunications and/or media industry is an asset.

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA or similar certifications and training are assets.

  • Effective communication with meaningful and articulate discussions leveraging effective language, tone, and style.

  • Acts as a cyber risk subject matter expert in security controls and security requirements and may take on more complex work in developing plans and deliverables, deploying resources, and interacting with key internal partners on Program related business projects.

  • Subject matter expert understanding and experience with Security Threat Risk Assessment Process including identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing potential threats and vulnerabilities identified during project, program level engagements.

  • Collaborates with other Senior Cybersecurity Risk Specialist to support cybersecurity risk findings, control implementation, residual risks, changes to the risk landscape and risk mitigation actions are effectively documented.

  • Ability to synthesize information into succinct, concise, and logical summaries.

  • Ability to create clear written business documents that demonstrate clarity of thought.

  • Able to analyze complex security issues and provide pragmatic options and recommendations.

  • Demonstrable understanding of how to network and develop healthy working relationships with various key stakeholders.

  • Strong business and technical acumen

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong ability to coach and mentor individuals on the team.

  • Can direct and manage multiple priorities in high pressure situations.

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or emphasis in technology or related field
