Job Purpose
Responsible for the research and drafting of responses to regulatory data requests, enforcement actions, audits and assessments. Perform review of company records to ensure data integrity and compliance with all code requirements, work methods and procedures. Monitor mandated activities, records & metrics to ensure the company’s compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements and promote a culture focused on pipeline safety and operational compliance.
Key Accountabilities
Manage and track commitments associated with compliance consent orders and audits
Provide support during regulatory audits including working with State Pipeline Safety staff in reviewing company records
Assist Operations with deploying sustainable compliance solutions to satisfy audit findings
Proactively monitor mandated activities and metrics through records review to ensure the company’s compliance with regulatory requirements
Research and review gas procedures and regulatory requirements to determine scenarios that might impact the company
Encourage adoption of National Grid’s Pipeline Safety Management System and create a focus on compliance
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
People-orientated person, who is comfortable working with and challenging a broad range of stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrable experience of applying them in technical and business report writing and the development and delivery of presentations.
Qualifications
• 4+ years of work experience in utilities or similar regulated industry
• In-depth knowledge of industry rules, regulations and ways of working
• Knowledge of developments in regulations (Federal, State & Local requirements)
• Demonstrated ability to meet time/date driven mandates
• Strong inter-personal skills that support working constructively with others
• Excellent oral and written communication skills that enable one to influence others using data and logic through a solid business case

Salary
$71,000 - $84,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
