The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Sales Specialist within the Personal Safety Division (PSD), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Proactively plans and manages time and resources for effective coverage of territory
Meeting and exceed assigned quota and sales objectives
Integral to this role is the development and building of new and existing relationships with Key end users in the region. Delivering effective sales process execution to include new business opportunities, lead generation, and competitive account conversions
Demonstrates and trains internal and external customers on product applications and solutions. Provides appropriate sales and technical support to customers covering main product portfolios including welding protection, fall protection, head, eye and respiratory protection products as well as hearing protection solutions.
Builds collaboration among team members to help drive growth at relevant customer's and industries
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Sales experience preferably within the personal safety industry
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both externally and internally
Independent and self-initiated approach with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team
Selling skills, good interaction skills and the ability to build long-term customer relationships
Negotiation, communication and presentation skills - written and verbal.
Good standard of education
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
PPE market sales experience strongly preferred
Industrial / Safety market sales experience preferred
Experience in selling and training on safety equipment of end users and channel partners
Knowledge of MS Office systems as well as CRM systems
Travel: The position requires the ability to travel throughout the defined sales territory to visit existing and potential customers, end users, distribution and exhibitions. This role supports a hybrid working model typically 3 days in the field/2 days at home office (subject to business conditions)
Sales Territory: South Wales, South West, South East, Bedfordshire and Essex
Candidate preferred location – M4 corridor but all locations in the Region considered.
Remuneration
Salary - £high-reaching dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package
Bonus – Sales Incentive Plan
