Machinist

Are you an experienced Machinist in between jobs? Would a 3 month contract be something you would consider? We may have the project for you! Randstad is looking for a highly skilled Machinist for a 3 month project for a client in the Palm Beach area. This is a reputable company that is looking to bring someone in for this project IMMEDIATELY. This is a 40 hour a week, 3 month contract at $22/hr. Responsibilities

• Must be able to set up and run both manual mills (Bridgeport type) and lathes

• Perform setup and machining of several different parts using precision measuring equipment, gauges and hand tools to assure quality standards are maintained.

• Use intermediate shop mathematics including algebra and geometry to determine and check angles, radii, hole locations, accessibility, missing dimensions, and interrelated dimensions.

• Report quality findings and safety issues

• Follow all regulations such as OSHA, company policies, procedures and safety regulations

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

Skills

• Lathes

• Machining (5 years of experience is preferred)

• Hand tools (5 years of experience is preferred)

• Mathematics

• Blueprints (5 years of experience is required)

• Technical Schematics (5 years of experience is required)

Education

• High School
