Job Description:
Lead a seasoned Vendor and Risk Management Governance Program including implementation of all vendor engagements in support of business objectives. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership on vendor management best practices, risk mitigation and contractual initiatives. This position will provide guidance on projects on team and on Bank projects from a vendor management perspective. This position will be accountable for the team’s monitoring and reporting on vendor performance, various contract related changes such as amendments, addendums, master services agreements, and vendor terminations. The employee may coach their team on the best approach to address vendor escalated issues and performance gaps. This employee will also collaborate with Enterprise Procurement, Information Security and Risk to support Ameriprise’s best interests. The employee will provide strategic leadership on Vendor and Risk Management best practices while leading other Vendor Managers.

Senior Director of Vendor Management
Responsibilities:
Work with the team to coordinate, participate in and co-lead the Request for Information / Request for Proposal processes and contract negotiations
Ensures negotiation of contracts with enterprise procurement to ensure company’s interests are covered
Monitors and analyzes vendor performance and service level agreements, vendor contract compliance and key vendor issues
Participates in and facilitates Vendor Management updates in various committee, Board of Directors, and other meetings as required
May perform onsite reviews with vendors and management
Participates in annual vendor onsite reviews and performs due diligence functions
Provides strategic leadership on vendor management best practices
Provides leadership, fosters learning and development to ensure resources are positioned to meet organizational needs
Develops and cascades goals to ensure alignment with the overall strategy
Conducts performance reviews aligned with company policy and guidelines
Perform research and analysis to keep policies and practices current with industry trends, regulatory requirements of agencies like the SEC, OCC, FFIEC, etc.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4-years)
10+ years relevant experience required
Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience.
Banking experience
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Demonstrated ability to clearly and persuasively communicate ideas, issues and recommendations
