Work with Stakeholders to optimize the use of Hospital resources by reviewing Standard Operating Procedures, common practices and protocols, allocation and use of resources to improve the quality and safety of care and minimize cost. Performing Financial Analysis, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma and outcome analysis to determine best industry standard methodologies, and reports on findings to internal and external audiences and works to implement results
Conduct value based healthcare (VBHC) projects using VBHC principles to change care pathways and formulate academic publications in conjunction with PIs
Perform business analysis and design of industry-based methodologies, develop innovative solutions to address business initiatives and problem statements; data compilation, analysis and evaluation; and aid the team with research, report creation, and quality control of all deliverables
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ranging from coordination of project logistics to conducting key analytics and co-presenting key findings to stakeholders
Coordinate the day to day activities of the project, including the recruitment of project staff, setting up records systems, and organizing meetings and conferences
Act as liaison with the relevant work groups and clinical areas. Develop linkages between these areas. Act as liaison with other department and regulatory agencies and consultants on analyses of financial, clinical or administrative data
Help develop and prepare presentations and data analysis and at times verbally present to external entities such as academic medical centers, business schools and industry conferences
Conducting clinical research studies and all associated work including but not limited to patient consenting, liaising with the IRB, if appropriate. Develop and implement systems and procedures to meet study goals and protocol requirements.
Prepare, monitor and justify project budgets according to hospital and funding agency specifications.
Assist PI in preparing new applications for research funding and in developing, implementing, and managing study grants
Oversee collection, maintenance and retrieval of study data and implementing systems and procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency and conformance with protocol requirements; serve as resource for clinical research staff to ensure data quality.
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance; Healthcare; Project Management, and 1 year of healthcare provider experience; Master's and 3 years of experience preferred
Extremely strong analytical skills and able to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data to solve problems
Very high interest and comfort with healthcare finance, cost accounting and financial analysis
During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs
