Boston University STUDENT SUCCESS ADVISOR, Metropolitan College, Student Academic Affairs in BOSTON, Massachusetts
Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment & Student Success, the Student Success Advisor (SSA) will work closely with MET Admissions and the academic departments to streamline and strengthen communications to students around all aspects of their enrollment at MET. The SSA will advise MET students and alumni across all career stages during 1:1 and group sessions on career-related topics (i.e. resumes, cover letter letters, interviewing, LinkedIn) and will develop and conduct workshops and presentations on career-related topics for classes, students, and alumni. The SSA will develop comprehensive plans to ensure that all students, regardless of department, receive timely, targeted, proactive communication and a student-centric approach.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience required.
Masters degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exhibit adaptability and a proactive approach in adjusting strategies to meet evolving student and departmental needs
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong abilities in time management, managing multiple projects and details
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
Experience with academic and career advising a plus
