Perform more complex human and nonhuman research exams in the MRI environment.
Perform MRI or other imaging safety screening of all research personnel and participants.
Collect and transfer raw MRI data from the console.
Perform the offline reconstruction.
Operate, facilitate, and train on all research MRI equipment, including physiological data equipment, fMRI equipment, and patient motion tracking equipment such as Nordic Neuro Lab and BIOPAC.
Identify research subjects according to Hospital Policy with two identifiers.
Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters to achieve research objectives.
Practice High-Reliability Training.
Select appropriate sequences per the participant's needs.
Properly obtain informed consent from participants.
Consistently provide exceptional care and exceptional service.
Ensure the study protocol is executed correctly.
Judge appropriate image quality as images are acquired and adjust sequences to achieve research goals.
Ensure adherence to all safety practices determined by the MRI Safety Committee.
Maintain compliance with IRB policies and follows research protocols approved by the IRB.
Comply with all operational policies promulgated by the Research Imaging Advisory Committee, Department of Radiology, Hospital, and Joint Commission guidelines.
Function as a liaison between the core facility, researchers, and participants.
Understand and provide behavioral accommodations for pediatric participants.
Respond to the participant's uniqueness, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions to the chief research technologist.
Assist in organizing and maintaining daily operations such as quality assurance testing.
Fill in for Chief Technologist as necessary by monitoring and maintaining daily operations of the facility.
Act as a champion for new equipment or processes.
Train participants in precepting new staff as requested.
Train research staff in imaging procedures and techniques.
Participate in departmental and hospital meetings.
Comply with ETU.
Comply with HIPAA regulations.

Complete all required competencies and documentation accurately and promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, Biology/Chemistry/Allied Health/Computer Sciences preferred study area.
BLS Certification
CITI Certification
Radiologic Technologist license for MRI preferred
