Sales Training Manager
Actively lead the training process including assessment, development and delivery of training services. Observe, coach and recognize team members conducting assessment, development and delivery tasks. Accountable for review and testing training in advance of rollout; ensuring high quality learning solutions are in place.
Lead the development and delivery of training to new hire and veteran employees in the department. Training is generally specific to departmental processes and procedures, systems, regulations, but may also cover other developmental needs areas that are more general. Delivery of learning solutions to all business partners including field partners.
Represent the department or business partners on companywide training initiatives and strategies. Set strategy and approaches to ensure consistent high-quality learning experience across the firm. Influence business partners to implement learning approaches that positively impact business and individual performance measures.
Coach and mentor trainers in improving their training design, development and delivery skills. Utilize performance management techniques and practices in building a highly effective training team.
Consult with business line partners to assess and understand business needs related to training; translate business needs into clear deliverables for the training team and coach the team to address the identified training needs. Develop key success metrics and measures results of training on business performance.
Work effectively across the learning team to ensure facilitation, evaluation and performance management best practices are reinforced.
Strong organizational skills
Effective training methodologies including adult learning theory, instructional design, needs assessment tools, & training evaluation methods.
Demonstrated skills in building effective business consulting relationships, Ability to create and articulate a training strategy.
Ability to effectively influence business leaders to implement training that drives business performance.
Experience in either direct supervision or coaching of learning development teams. Proven project management & problem-solving skills.
Highly effective writing and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage and execute multiple on-going projects
Series 7 (or SIE and Series 7 top off exam) or the ability to obtain within a defined period of time
