Product Manager – Wire Transfer and SWIFT Services

Citizens Commercial Banking Treasury Solutions Payables team is seeking a Product Owner who is passionate about building solutions for commercial clients.

Wire Transfer is a fundamental and critical payment service for moving funds domestically and around the world.

As a Treasury Solutions Product Manager, you will drive our high value payments product strategy, development, and management. This pivotal role demands a payments expert with a robust background in product management, coupled with an intimate understanding of the treasury and payments.

You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and drive cross-functional teams to define, discover, direct, design, develop, and roll-out wire transfer and SWIFT services that deliver exceptional value for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • End to end ownership of the commercial bank Wire Transfer and SWIFT product sets, strategy, roadmap, and user experience for the Payables product group.

  • Detailed understanding of high value payment platforms, payment hubs, relevant data formats including ISO 20022, SWIFT messages, relevant governing bodies, and critical rules and regulations.

  • Own and drive the product development lifecycle: ideation, prototyping, proof of concept, piloting, market viability validation, etc.

  • Ensure functional readiness for products to enable commercialization of new products/concepts across Implementations, Operations, Service, Sales, etc.

  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, sales, and marketing, to crystallize product requirements and prioritize use cases.

  • Engage directly with customers to extract valuable feedback and integrate it into product evolution. Serve as the product expert/specialists in client meetings as needed.

    Qualifications

  • Experience in product development and commercialization. Has developed and deployed products/services in market.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment as an experience owner or product owner.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently initiate research and drive “ideation” activities to uncover new concepts, services and product opportunities.

  • Demonstrated ability to articulate strategic concepts and lay out a strategic course of action.

  • Strong analytical skills and communications skills.

  • Creative thinking and problem solving.

  • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships effectively. Negotiates with good judgment among multiple stakeholders, and gains the confidence of others through proven expertise.

  • Self-starter, goal oriented, proactive rather than reactive.

  • The functions of this role include: Strategy Development, New Product Development / Product Enhancements, Roll Out / Product and Customer Readiness (Training Plans, Marketing Plans, Implementation Plans, etc.) Sales Support, Business Line Support, Risk / Legal, Vendor Management, Marketing, Project Management, Client Issue resolution, Client needs/Demos/RFPs.

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
