MassMutual People Analytics-Employee Listening Lead in Boston, Massachusetts

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for the position of Employee Listening Lead to join our dynamic People Analytics team.  You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and performance through data-driven insights.

The Team

The People Analytics team works closely with the Enterprise to deliver insights and influence decisions regarding MassMutual’s human capital to enable it to achieve its strategy.  The team brings together a diverse team of experts across HR, data science, DEI and systems that works together to deliver analysis and recommendations related to the management of Human Capital.

The Impact: Your role will be to spearhead our Employee Listening strategy and initiatives. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the HR (Human Resources) Team and other stakeholders in MassMutual to understand sentiment throughout the employee lifecycle. Your mission will be to design, gain support for and execute an approach to gather and integrate insights that will inform decisions impacting employee engagement and satisfaction. You will also design and implement passive & external listening capabilities that will enhance our overall employee experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  

  • Lead and execute Employee Listening strategies, aligning them with the broader goals of the Company. 

  • Identify and deploy appropriate listening channels and tools (e.g., surveys, focus groups, feedback platforms) to collect meaningful employee feedback. 

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and understand key employee concerns and sentiments. 

  • Utilize a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to gather, analyze, and interpret employee feedback. 

  • You will conduct in-depth analysis to uncover patterns, correlations, and trends in survey data. This may involve analyzing survey results, running regression analysis, conducting hypothesis testing, and applying other statistical methods to identify key drivers and insights. 

  • Develop and maintain systems for continuous employee feedback throughout employee lifecycle during moments that matter and ensuring data is effectively captured, analyzed & insights shared with Senior Leadership 

  • Present findings to stakeholders, translating complex data into compelling narratives that drive action and change. 

  • Collaborate with Technology and data engineering teams to optimize data collection and analysis processes. 

  • Implement and measure the effectiveness of employee listening initiatives, adapting strategies as needed based on feedback and results. 

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in employee listening and engagement, integrating innovative approaches into our strategies. 

  • Design & build passive listening capabilities that will enhance our understanding of employee experience through ONA, and external listening.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in industrial-Organizational Psychology or a related field. 

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Human Resources, Human Capital, Organizational Design or related field, with at least 2+ years of experience managing employee listening and survey analytics. 

  • Proven experience in HR Analytics, survey design and analysis. 

  • Ability to use and leverage technology, including HRIS, survey tools, and data analytics platforms, to enhance the employee listening process. 

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data visualization tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Tableau). 

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in industrial-Organizational Psychology or a related field. 

  • Proven ability to complete high quality work efficiently and increase autonomy over time.

  • Able to build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional groups.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas in and articulate in an organized and persuasive manner to leadership, staff, regulatory bodies, etc.

  • Intellectual curiosity to continue learning and adding breadth and depth to understanding.

  • Employ a hypothesis-driven approach in developing and executing analytical storytelling to influence stakeholders and drive change. 

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations that drive organizational success. 

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Proven track record in an employee listening, engagement, or related role 

  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods, particularly in gathering and analyzing employee feedback.

Salary Range: $159,800.00-$209,700.00
