Operating Room Inventory Specialist, under the supervision of the OR Materials Manager performs/supervises services in the designated area according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and the system.
Maintain current knowledge of supply chain management including but not limited to, inventory control, purchasing policies, procurement practices and materials management information systems. JACHO,FDA, DPH, and other regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
Order supplies based on established par levels and surgical schedules
Update par levels and label items/shelves accordingly
Work with service leaders and buyers on backorder statuses
Rotate stock, remove outdated product or recalled product per hospital guidelines
Ability to operate in fast paced environment
Ability to work on computers and other supply chain electronic systems
Other duties as assigned
Experience
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years in materials management preferred
