This Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for : Working with a team of other Advanced Practice Clinicians on a 48 bed medical/surgical cardiovascular unit, providing front–line care management and coordination to post–operative cardiac surgical patients in collaboration with attending surgeons. This Advanced Practice Clinician will assess, diagnose, develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications and interventions, interpret diagnostic testing, perform bedside procedures and coordinate care for patients and their families. Consulting and collaborating with other acute care providers and interdisciplinary team members across the institution to provide comprehensive and exceptional care to patients, from infancy to adulthood, with congenital heart disease. Facilitating patient, family and multidisciplinary team education in a family centered environment.
36 or 40 hours per week, 12 hour shifts, permanent nights (6:30PM-7:00AM) or 50% rotation, every third weekend.
To qualify you must have:
A graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
A current license in the state of Massachusetts to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP (primary or acute care) or FNP) or Physician Assistant
1+ year of Pediatric NP experience preferred
Will consider new grads with a minimum of 2 years inpatient RN experience - preferably pediatric, cardiac or higher level of care (ICU/ICP/ED).
