Position Purpose: Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions. Collaborates closely with technical and non-technical roles such as data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide design, technical analysis, development/configuration, testing, implementation, and support expertise representing the interest of the business across the enterprise.

Mentor Junior Engineers

Work with the Manager and other leads to own the advancement of projects

Participate in design and architecture discussions to ensure that the direction of projects aligns with the bigger picture

Code reviews

Participate in shaping the strategy for the work the team takes on in coordination with the bigger picture of Platform, Web and Centene

Work hand-in-hand with the Manager and Product Management to ensure we are aligned and delivering according to priorities set by Product Management

Coordinate with Web teams to ensure our platform deliverables are hitting the mark

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).

Requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.

Technical Skills:

Experience with Change Management required

Experience with Enterprise Architecture required

Fullstack development experience preferred, though a mix of FE and BE is fine

Core development experience with Javascript (Node, React, NextJS)

Linux experience (no Windows only development experience)

Preferred: GoLang, AWS, Docker or Kubernetes

Knowledge and experience building open source technology
